Valpolicella is the Wine Region of the Year 2009!
According to the Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Valpolicella Region is the Wine Region of the Year 2009. In its 10th anniversary the Magazine of Wine Enthusiast awards the hilly area near Verona, a land of delicious red wines. One of the highest producing DOCs in Italy, Valpolicella produces a wide range of fabulous wines, ranging from lighter reds to more intense and concentrated reds, made from air-dried grapes. This region has seen a continued increase in quality over the past few decades, seen in the wines of both traditional estates and small innovative producers. Fabiano Winery is one of these producers with its new estate in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica in San Pietro in Cariano, opened on the occasion of the 43° Vinitaly fair. Five hectares producing Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto, very close to the Consortium Valpolicella, are vinified with modern technologies without forgetting the importance and the quality of hand working. A fine example of the high standard quality in this wine area. Therefore, because of the classic quality of its quintessential wines, Amarone and Ripasso, the commitment to tradition and the unique approach that it takes to all its wines, Valpolicella is Wine Enthusiast's Wine Region of the Year.

Fabiano: beverage quality and safety
Fabiano Winery confirms once again its efforts in technological innovation and in the defence of consumers. The daily attention devoted to the clients and their needs turned in the course of these years in a series of quality certifications following international standards. These certifications have been released by the DNV (Det Norske Veritas), the official body leader in the market, and they highlight the positive results obtained by Fabiano. The first certification, the ISO 9001 (Management Quality System), was followed by the BRC (British Retail Consortium - Global Standard for Food Safety) and by the IFS (International Food Standard). These last two certifications are the general standards promoted by the European GDO in order to qualify their own suppliers. Moreover, Fabiano obtained the ISO 22005:2008, the certification for the tracing of the growing process. Finally, the certification UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 has been recently updated according to the general standard of quality.
